Beautiful vintage flowers and dreamy tulle canopy arch
These vintage wedding flowers at Great Fosters were an unusual mix of muted ivory creams, blush pink and hint of blues, and a lovely soft style of shabby chic meets chateau opulence. A dreamy tulle canopy arch dressed the ceremony area in the Orangery, for a gorgeously soft, light effect.
Medea carried a stunning bouquet of ivory, blush, cream and pale nude pink roses, with scented paeonies. Her bridesmaids, wearing the palest blue floor length dresses, held matching bouquets with roses and accent pale blue import hydrangeas in a lovely two tone blue wash over effect.
For the ceremony, we created a beautiful tented canopy in softest tulle, with wild style flower columns framing the ceremony area. The aisle was lined with rose petals scatter and lots of storm vases with soft candlelight for an amazingly romantic and dreamy look. The pretty lace sleeves over the chiavari chairs were thanks to Medea’s own handy work and looked fantastic. To add even more luxe to this vintage shabby chic wedding, two amazing large and opulent urn centrepieces crammed with roses, hydrangeas, dahlias and scented stocks, framed the veiled canopy area.
Moving on to the Tithe Barn, the shabby chic look took on a more moody atmosphere with amazing lighting bathing the whole barn in changing light tones, and a canopy of fairy lights draped from the high ceiling. We dressed the tables under the tall middle section of the barn with tall dramatic centrepieces on shabby chic ivory stands, and added pretty sweetie jars posies of flowers at table level. For the tables under the eaves, where the ceiling is much lower, we carried on the shabby chic style with vintage bird cage centrepieces with pretty candlelight.
