Wedding flowers get a welcome reception
Our lovely wedding flowers got more fantastic Botleys Mansion wedding reviews from the venue staff and wedding guests yesterday. It is our 5th comission at Botleys Mansion just this year, and we have done several more here before. So it is really nice to be greeted by great reviews yet again.
So far this year, all our weddings at Botleys have had quite different colour themes and schemes. Michelle and Mark’s wedding is the first to feature pink. It was lovely and reassuring to see just how much Michelle suited the colour. When I delivered her bouquets to the bridal suite, she looked chilled out in beautifully coordinated in her pink top. So even before the wedding started, this wedding held true to its girlie pink theme. And it really did look very very pretty and summery…
The bouquets were just gorgeous and heavenly scented and …. yes, of course a lovely pink, mixed in with some soft concessionary ivory. We used a fantastic mix of scented flowers – roses, paeonies and very cute vintage spray roses. They looked great against the pastel pink bridesmaids dresses and Michelle’s floaty wedding gown.
For the wedding ceremony we dressed the room with 2 dramatic centrepieces matching the table displays, to frame the couple during the ceremony. Two pretty vases were placed at each end of the ceremony table, connected by pretty votives and petal scatter. The pretty and soft vintage pink theme was then continued to dress the aisle. We tied pretty vintage pink hanging jars to alternate chair ends to style the aisle. And added an overflowing display for the mantlepiece to finish off the ceremony room decor.
In the foyer, we welcomed guests to Botleys with a tall centrepiece of romantic hydrangeas immersed in water and topped with floating candles.
The light and airy atrium was dressed for the wedding reception with tall floaty vintage style centrepieces of blosy hydrangeas, pretty pink and ivory roses, stocks and dreamy gypsophila, and some low fish bowl centrepieces mixed in on some of the tables. The top table was styled with a gorgeous line up of dreamy low vase centrepieces, with petal scatter and votives. Leading down to the Atrium, we dotted more pretty roses in vintage pots to line the grand staircase.
The gorgeous wedding cake provided by talented Erica from Iced Innovations in Weybridge, and looked fantastic dressed with our mix of ivory and pastel pink roses. The photographer for todays wedding is Hayley Bray who regularly photographs at Botleys Mansion and whose work is just amazing. Our flowers received so many positive Botleys Mansion wedding reviews from the staff and other suppliers, it was really lovely to hear it. I have to admit I was relieved, as for a fleeting moment I was a bit all pinked-out.
